i had a wonderful solo stay at y pengwern while seeing the northern lights. the friendly staff welcomed me with a cozy room and delicious welsh meat lasagne. the beautiful views from my window made my experience even more memorable.

breakfast options were limited to just cereal.

Had a mighty stay with me family, the staff were so friendly, really made us feel welcome! The room was spacious and clean. The views were just grand. A wee downside though, the carpet in the bathroom could use a freshen up.

Our two-night stay was comfortable, thanks to the warm and attentive staff. The simple breakfast was delightful, setting us up for our adventures. For future guests, consider exploring the local area for art. the decor could use some personality!

The noise from the bar below was distracting, making sleep difficult!!! Additional soundproofing would improve the experience!!! Perhaps also offering earplugs could be a thoughtful touch!!!

We had an incredible time enjoying the warm atmosphere in the bar, especially when the local choir sang. The staff made our stay extra special, recommending Nevs taxis, which was super convenient for us all, including our teenage kids.

My wife says that the mattress needs upgrading.

The local dining options were satisfying, especially the fruit buffet at breakfast. the noise from the pub below could be distracting, and the building's age was evident, with some areas in need of maintenance. Lastly, the atmosphere lacked warmth from locals, which left a bit to be desired.

our stay at y pengwern exceeded expectations! the food was fantastic with big portions, especially loved the welsh lamb pie. the staff were truly committed to making our experience enjoyable, even bringing us toast late at night.
